I'm operating on a commercial shoot for my buddy Paul of StoryTellerz.tv and we're using a Canon 7D converted by HotRod camera to accept PL mount film lenses. We opted for Cooke S4 primes. The look is amazing and the lenses are pretty compact so our camera setup is pretty manageable. While AC Alex pulls focus by distance and I frame off the small Marshall monitor, the director can watch the large 26" monitor remotely because we are converting and spliting the HDMI output to SDI using a simple Black Magic box. Small setup, great image quality and easy to operate.
